Pittsburgh Steelers fantasy: Who to start and sit vs. the Patriots
By Dan Gilliam
The Steelers face off against the defending Super Bowl champion team from New England. Who should you start/sit for your fantasy team vs the Patriots?
Though the Patriots have dominated this matchup and are 5-0 when playing at home, this should be a great game. The Steelers are healthy heading into week one and may have an improved defense in 2019.
Tom Brady has been brilliant in these matchups, but we shall see if he can still deliver at 42 years of age. The Patriots have won their 6th Super Bowl and will start defending their title this Sunday.
On the Steelers side of things, Big Ben Roethlisberger has historically struggled on the road compared to his home stats. He had a rebound season last year but can he maintain that this year against a team that typically owns the Steelers?
The game will be played between two teams that have both had big changes. The Steelers have lost two of their best weapons in Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. Can you trust any of the players on this newly revamped offense?
The Patriots have lost their future hall of fame tight end Rob Gronkowski. Though Antonio Brown recently signed with the team, he won’t be available for today’s game.
The addition of Josh Gordon should make the offense more dynamic overall if he can stay on the field. Rookie N’Keal Harry was placed on IR so the team will need another WR to replace him. There is also rookie RB Damien Harris to put a monkey wrench in the RB rotation for the Pats.
Can they maintain their dominance or will the new-look team from Pittsburgh come in and steal a win?
