The Pittsburgh Steelers have been a pretty healthy team all offseason. However, here are the five players who failed to participate in practice on Thursday.

The Steelers haven’t had a lot to complain about over the past few seasons, as far as injuries are concerned. In fact, Pittsburgh has been one of the healthiest teams in the league since the start of the 2018 season.

Most of their stars played all 16 games last year, and the players who went down with injuries weren’t out for more than a few games.

However, after just one game in 2019, the Steelers were pretty banged up. Though most of the injuries don’t seem severe, there are a few players whose availability is up in the air for Sunday.

Steelers reporter, Missi Matthews, tweeted an updated injury report last night, and it didn’t look overly promising:

Pittsburgh had 5 players who failed to log a practice on Thursday. This number has reduced from the 12 players who missed or were limited the day before.

Most of these guys suffered minor injuries against the New England Patriots, and Mike Tomlin was most likely taking the precautionary route. However, fullback Roosevelt Nix is expected to miss at least a few weeks with a knee injury, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic:

Though the list seems long, Mike Tomlin is no stranger to giving veterans the day off from time to time, and most of these players should be available for Sunday’s home matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Steelers have had a string of health dating back to the start of last season. Let’s hope that trend can continue this year.
