Patrick Peterson

Cornerback, Arizona Cardinals

Patrick Peterson may be a 29-year old, suspended cornerback on a pretty bad team, but that doesn’t mean that he’s not worth trading for.

Peterson has been a Pro Bowl cornerback for all 8 of his NFL seasons and has made First-Team All-Pro 3 times. His play speaks for itself, and he has been one of the league’s best defensive backs over the past decade.

There were rumors this past offseason that the Cardinals may be open to trading the Pro Bowl cornerback, and Peterson has made it evident that he wants out.

The Steelers signed Steven Nelson this offseason to a 3-year, $25.5 million deal. However, with the way the league is today, you can never have enough defensive backs. Peterson would be an upgrade over both Nelson and Joe Haden and would give the Steelers a serious boost in their secondary.

We saw the difference Stephon Gilmore made for the New England Patriots. Peterson could provide the same competitive advantage for Pittsburgh.
