After a lackluster effort in Foxboro, the Steelers return to Heinz Field for their home opener against the Seahawks. The Steelers look to avoid their 2nd 0-2 start of the decade. Today we look at 3 key matchups to prevent this.

Sunday will be a critical game for the Steelers early in the 2019 season. They look to bounce back after a crushing loss to the Patriots in primetime. Their next opponent won’t be any easier to deal with.

The Seahawks come in after a narrow win over the Bengals and seek to get a 2-0 start for the first time since they won the Super Bowl in the 2013 season. The last time these two teams met, the Steelers “Killer B’s” were outgunned in a shootout in the rainy city: 39-30.

Despite their offensive struggles last week, the Seahawks have a high powered offense lead by their top-tier quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson presents a skill set that can be difficult to game plan for. He excels inside the pocket and also making big throws outside of it as well.

Meanwhile, the Steelers come into the match-up with a lot of question marks offensively. The offensive line struggled to get off the ball and create a ground game–though they provided solid pass protection.

On the outside, the Steelers receivers struggled to get open against the physical approach of the New England secondary. Though Juju recorded 78 receiving yards, his counterparts failed to get separations and had backbreaking drops throughout the game.

Today we will look at three match-ups that could decide the outcome on Sunday. Let’s start with the young guys…
