After falling short to the Seahawks, the Steelers now face their first 0-2 start in 6 years. Despite this, 3 Steelers had key performances and gave a silver lining in the clouds of doubt.

What an absolute disappointing finish. From a slow-starting offense, a collapsing defense, and overall sloppy performance, the Steelers had plenty of disappointment.

After a strong opening performance on defense, the Steelers allowed touchdowns in every quarter moving forward. The offense started as cold as a Pittsburgh night in December. Things didn’t get rolling until the second quarter after a forced fumble recovered by Mark Barron.

Then things got rough when Ben started showing signs of an elbow injury late in the second quarter and did not return the rest of the game. It was then the Mason Rudolph show.

Despite the loss, the Steelers offense showed signs of life with Rudolph in the lineup. The defense forced another turnover in the fourth quarter that drew the game close again and looked like the Steelers were going to have a legitimate show to win this late.

Things did not go that way. The elusive Russell Wilson made a few big runs at the end that ended up costing the Steelers the game.

Despite a lot of disappointment and negativity, there were three Steelers who stood out in this contest that could take their performance and carry it over into a critical game next week in San Francisco.
