The Steelers franchise quarterback is lost for the season.  Is the season lost as well?

I think the elephant in the room is the loss of Ben Roethlisberger for the 2019 season.  There are no two ways to slice this-It’s ugly.  It’s ugly from the standpoint that the Steelers have not only started the season winless but are now without their leader on offense.  How the team responds to this devastating loss will either galvanize them or will be their demise.

Obviously, Steelers fans and the Steelers organization are hoping for the former rather than the latter.  Make no mistake; this will prove to be the penultimate challenge of Coach Tomlin’s tenure.  Will Rudolph come riding in on his white horse to save the season or will the gremlins that keep rearing their ugly heads on defense be the team’s downfall?

Coach Tomlin will either have his praises extolled or will have his future as the Steelers head coach brought into question.  Right now, it’s an ugly situation for the Steelers and Coach Tomlin.  Let’s hope we can secure victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
