The Steelers have not had the start to the regular season that they have wanted. They lost Ben Roethlisberger for the season and are 0-2.

The hits just keep coming for the Steelers as they have had a troublesome start to their season. They head into the 49ers game six and a half point underdogs according to Bovada Sportsbook. This is disappointing as the Steelers were a game from making the playoffs last year while the 49ers picked second in the draft.

The biggest damper on the season is losing franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He has led them to winning records the majority of his career and is probably the best quarterback in Steelers history. He has an elbow injury which has lingered a couple of years and is now going to cost him the 2019 season.

The Steelers will have to rely on Mason Rudolph at quarterback which is a bit nerve racking as he is only a second-year quarterback. The good news is that the Steelers see him as the quarterback of the future and so this should give him some quality experience.

This brings us to my five burning questions for the game against the 49ers. I will ask five questions and answer them as I did in the preseason.  This will come after the Steelers-49ers game.
