Five Burning Questions for Week Three Versus the 49ers
By Edward Hunt
How will the Steelers fare on the West Coast?
The Steelers also have the challenge of traveling far to get to the game. The Steelers will have to travel from Pittsburgh to San Francisco for Sunday’s game. According to travelmath.com, the flight from Pittsburgh to San Francisco is five hours and two minutes.
Another dimension to this game is that it is away from Heinz Field where the Steelers will not have most of the crowd on their side. They will have some fans representing them though as Steeler Nation travels well.
The Steelers have had trouble in the Pacific Time Zone. They are 1-5 under Tomlin and have had some losses to bad Raider teams.
This will be an excellent opportunity for the Steelers to show some life. They will have the motivation of being 0-2 and falling in power rankings. It may be difficult to win on the road in San Francisco, but this game could be a tipping point in whether the Steelers stay in the playoff hunt. An 0-3 record would really make it challenging to make the playoffs.
