Will the Steelers be able to contain George Kittle?

The 49ers have a semi-secret weapon in George Kittle. Coming out of Iowa, we knew that he would be a great blocker, but we did not think he was going to become the receiver he has become. Kittle is also a weapon in the passing game.

This multi-threat player could be difficult for the steelers to contain. The Steelers have had trouble in the past containing tight ends. Look at what Rob Gronkowski has done to them.

This is somewhat of a quiet storyline but could become a bigger storyline after the game. The Steelers will have to prepare their linebackers and safeties for a tight end who can execute in both the passing and running game.

Conclusion

The Steelers have a tough test ahead of them. They will be without Ben Roethlisberger, they will be on the road, and they will be all the way in the pacific time zone. It’s no surprise that oddsmakers are hedging against them.

This is also an opportunity to prove they are a legitimate team in 2019. There is a report that the Dolphins took Pittsburgh’s pick because they thought they would be picking in the top 10. That sure isn’t the respect that the team would like.

I will be answering these questions after the game, and my hope is that the Steelers will pull out a win. It’s early, but this is the closest thing to a must-win that week three holds.

If the Steelers fall to 0-3, the media will assume the Steelers are out of the playoff picture. If they win, the media will talk about them as a contender for the AFC North.
