Another week, another loss for the Steelers. Let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly from the loss against the 49ers.

After three weeks of the 2019 season, the Steelers are winless. Despite a valiant effort and a break-out game from the defense, we are, nonetheless, a winless football team.  As we have done for the past three weeks, let’s explore the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Steelers loss against the 49ers.

Although the Steelers are winless, there were some good aspects of the game against the San Francisco 49ers.  Let’s start with the most recent addition to the team, Minkah Fitzpatrick. As a matter of procedure, all statistics courtesy of the official website of the NFL.

In his first game since being acquired via a trade with the Miami Dolphins, Fitzpatrick made his presence known almost immediately.  On the 49ers third possession, Fitzpatrick intercepted a pass that was deflected by Joe Haden. You can watch it for yourself:  Fitzpatrick INT

It was good to see Fitzpatrick get involved to that degree in his first game as a Steeler.  He would not be the only Steelers defender to join in on the turnover party.  On the very first offense series for the 49ers, T.J. Watt, one of our bright, young stars on defense, also notched an interception, which you can watch right here: Watt INT

Let’s continue looking at the good elements of the game.
