Philadelphia Eagles

This is really where the engine started picking up steam. CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin identified Dupree as the type of guy Eagles GM Howie Roseman would be interested in.

Benjamin puts it plainly as he writes:

“Dupree is exactly the kind of guy Roseman tends to target — a relatively big name on a lowly team with some untapped potential and, best of all, an expiring contract. The $9.2M cap hit is pricey, but Dupree is still just 26, he’s got lots of experience, and even if he balls out, the Eagles would be in line for a compensatory-pick reward.”

As I stated earlier, a new environment and system could benefit Dupree. Philadelphia of all the teams on this list probably makes the most sense.

Also, according to Over the Cap, the Eagles have roughly $23 Million in cap space. Bud Dupree’s cap hit in a trade would be easily manageable for the Eagles to work with.

The last thing that would make sense for this move is the fact that the Eagles have only two sacks through 3 weeks. If they play their cards right with Dupree and how they put him in their scheme, he could be a reliable asset.

The question now comes down to compensation. Benjamin believes mid to late-round pick would make sense since the Eagles receiver corps is a little banged up, a straight-up trade for Nelson Agholor a little less likely.
