The Steelers had a bounce-back performance against the Bengals on Monday Night Football. Here are five players who made great strides.

The Pittsburgh Steelers laid waste to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night football. After suffering three straight losses to begin the season, Mike Tomlin’s team finally pulled out their first victory of 2019.

As has been the trend all year, T.J. Watt and Stephon Tuitt were unstoppable. They were constantly blowing up Bengals’ offensive lineman and were in the backfield all night. Cam Heyward pitched in a dominant performance as well – collecting 6 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 3 quarterback hits.

While these players have been solid all season long, if we are honest with ourselves, most players in a Steelers uniform have not. However, that changed on Monday night. Here are five players who made significant improvements in their performances in week 4:

Mark Barron

Mark Barron was utterly unbearable to watch in weeks 1-3. He repeatedly gave up catches in the passing game, and his effort seemed rather lackluster after reviewing the film.

However, Barron turned things around in week 4 with what was by far his best performance of the season. He played faster and smarter while making some nice plays in coverage – even intercepting an Andy Dalton pass in the redzone.

Many fans were questioning whether or not the Steelers made the right move by signing Mark Barron this offseason. Though I still don’t necessarily agree with the price tag he comes with, the former first-round pick all the way back in 2012 had an excellent game on Monday Night Football.
