First area of concern: Raven’s biggest off-season addition

Mark Ingram, throughout the past couple of years, had been overshadowed while with the New Orleans Saints, due to Alvin Kamara blossoming into one of the premier running backs in the league. Immediately after signing with the Baltimore Ravens, I had a sense Ingram would be thriving with his new team. So far into the 2019 season, the former Heisman Trophy winner has been one of the Ravens best overall players.

Through five games, Mark Ingram has rushed for 328 rushing yards, while tied in the NFL for leading the league with 5 rushing touchdowns. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers biggest threat come Sunday. While the Steelers run defense has kept opponents in check so far this season, I anticipate Ingram will be as productive as ever against the Steelers.

Second area of concern: Baltimore’s young receiving duo

The dynamic duo of receiving options of Mark Andrews and Marquise Brown was one of the big reasons the Baltimore Ravens got off to a hot start to the 2019 NFL season. While Andrews leads the team in receptions, and receiving touchdowns: Brown leads the Ravens in receiving yards. While in coverage, the Steelers have to be aware of Lamar Jackson’s top two targets. As Pittsburgh limited John Ross last week, expect the team to minimize speedster Brown too. Mark Andrews, on the other hand, should be a handful. The Steelers’ inability to cover tight ends has been one of the biggest problems of this league year. Expect this trend to continue during week 5 if Andrews is able to go. Currently, the Ravens starting tight end is questionable for the game, though.

Predicted outcome

My prediction is that the Pittsburgh Steelers win this heated rivalry on Sunday with a score of    24-17.  If the predicted outcome does take place, Pittsburgh will be pushed to a record of 2-3. This game could transform the Pittsburgh Steelers season going forward. With this in mind, let’s check out the rest of the Still Curtain predictions below. Following the rest of the week 5 predictions, is their prediction explanations.
