How will the Steelers do with all their injuries?

Pittsburgh has five players ruled out for this week. The five players are Mason Rudolph, Jaylen Samuels, Roosevelt Nix, James Washington, and Mark Barron. That is a lot of players to be missing for one week.

They will lose a lot on offense. They will be without their quarterback, fullback, #3 receiver, and #2 running back. That is a lot of the playmakers on offense. Also, losing your backup quarterback when your franchise quarterback is out for the season is never a good sign, either.

They are hurt on the defense, as well. The Black & Gold will be without Mark Barron, who plays a crucial role in covering tight ends for the Steelers. He is probably their best linebacker in coverage. Although the Steelers will have Devin Bush and Vince Williams, they will be out with a role player.

Will Artie Burns start this week?

The Steelers cornerback Steven Nelson is listed as questionable with a groin injury. That means that Artie Burns could be starting for the Steelers on the outside. Steven Nelson has been limited throughout the whole week of practice.

If Artie Burns starts, how well will he do? He started for the first two years of his Steelers career and then was benched in his third-year. I am speculating that he had something go wrong mentally that had him lose his confidence. This is a common occurrence in cornerbacks.

The good news is that Artie Burns could have recovered from this and could be ready to play on the outside for the Black & Gold. He is a good athlete who was picked in the first round. He does have plenty of starting experience for a backup outside cornerback.
