The Pittsburgh Steelers came out on top of the Los Angeles Chargers on the road in week 6. Here are my grades for each positional group following the game.

Steelers fans finally have a reason to be back on their feet. After heartbreaking losses in 3 of their last 4 games that were decided by 4 points or fewer, Pittsburgh pulled off a road win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Steelers came out on fire from the gate with their defense fired up and ready to go. Most positional groups looked excellent in Pittsburgh’s second win of the season. However, others still have improvements to make.

Here is my report card for each positional group on the team following the Steelers impressive win on the west coast against the Chargers:

Quarterback: B-

I’m going to cut Devlin Hodges a little bit of slack; it was his very first NFL game. Fortunately for the Steelers, the defense played so well that they didn’t need to call upon Hodges to make plays often. He completed 15 of 20 attempts for just 132 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Running back: B+

This group found a little more momentum on Sunday night than they have in weeks past, but gaining chunk yardage still isn’t easy on the ground. James Conner averaged just 2.6 yards per carry. Benny Snell actually outpaced Conner in touches, yardage, and yards per carry. This group did the dirty work when they needed to.
