Weak division:

With the exception of the New England Patriots in the AFC East, the Steelers have perhaps the weakest division in all of football.

Prior to the start of the 2019 season, NFL analysts boasted about the top three teams in the AFC. Most predicted the Cleveland Browns to be lead this division. However, that hasn’t been the case.

Baker Mayfield has had a major regression in his sophomore season – passing for just 5 touchdowns and 11 interceptions through his first 6 games. The Browns 2-4 record is currently tied with the Steelers, and Pittsburgh controls their own destiny against them moving forward.

The Ravens are currently the best team in the AFC North, but they have showed that they can be defeated. After a 2-0 start to the season where they played bottom-feeder teams in Miami and Arizona, the Ravens struggled with better opponents.

They lost against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and were blown out against the Browns. The Ravens pulled off an overtime victory against the Steelers, and defeated the Bengals last week by just one score.

Baltimore still has games against the Patriots, Seahawks, Texans, Rams, and 49ers coming up. Something tells me the Steelers will still be in the thick of things in December.
