The Steelers sit at 2-4 coming out of the bye week with an opportunity at consecutive wins for the first time this season. They will host the Miami Dolphins under the Monday Night lights.

For the record, I called it. I said the Steelers would have to score a defensive touchdown last week again the Chargers to win. I was right.

Thank me later, but this week and every following week now hold the same weight. If the Steelers even want to think of a playoff game, they will have to win out. Though it is a moderately favorable schedule, there are some steep hills along the way.

They took care of business last week and now have to do the same against the winless Dolphins. Though it’s a game the Steelers should handle with ease being a double-digit favorite, they don’t exactly have a great track record under Mike Tomlin vs inferior teams.

Nonetheless, the Steelers have an opportunity to set the tone for the rest of the year. With that being said, the Dolphins have given teams more fits recently than they did early on in the year.

The Black n Gold will need to play a superb game to give themselves the confidence they need moving forward and to match the spread versus the Dolphins.

In a season hanging by a thread, the Steelers need to do a few things this week not only to defeat Miami but to continue the momentum into the rest of the season.
