Minkah Fitzpatrick
As a former Dolphin, you know Minkah is fired up for this game. He may downplay and say it is just another game, but everyone gets a little fired up to play against a former team and teammates.
Fitzpatrick started the year in Miami and recorded 11 total tackles and a forced fumble for them in two games. Following week two, he was then acquired by the Steelers in a deal that split the Steelers fan base down the middle.
Most fans saw Minkah for what he was and got excited about that type of play-maker joining the defense, but others did not like sending a first-rounder away with the possibility of it being a high pick. The fans should be happy with Minkah at least as he has recorded 21 total tackles, one forced fumble, one interception and three pass breakups in four games in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers got a weekly X-factor in him with his versatility and play-making savvy. His ability to change a game is what the Steelers defense was lacking, and it makes him a special X-factor this week.
Minkah was only with Miami until week two of the regular season, but he can still provide some insight on his former team. Team’s gameplan different each week, but he knows those teammates of his better than anyone on the Steelers currently does.
He can help communicate this week with things he recognizes after having a full camp and few weeks with the Dolphins in 2019. Minkah will force the Dolphins to be extremely careful with how they play Pittsburgh in the game.
