The Steelers needed a come-from-behind performance at home to secure victory against the Dolphins.  With the win, hope is still alive for a winning season.

What a game!  The Steelers win against the Dolphins on Monday night was not the ‘prettiest’ win in recent history, but it was a statement win in that the Steelers crawled out of a two-touchdown deficit to secure victory.  The intended consequence of the win was that the Steelers kept hope alive for a winning season.

The fact that we were down by fourteen points and managed to win the game is nothing short of impressive, in my opinion.  I don’t know about you, but once the Dolphins scored their second touchdown, my immediate thought was this:  I can’t wait to listen to Mike Tomlin’s post-game press conference to hear his explanation for how in the world the Steelers lost at home on Monday night to the winless Dolphins.

Fortunately, that did not come to fruition.  What did come to fruition; however, was this:  The Steelers bowed up on defense to hold the Dolphins to no points after surrendering two touchdowns; the offense finally got the running game on track.

When the defense compliments the offense and vice versa, the Steelers are a team that can beat any other team.  As it stands right now, we are a team that is still one game under .500; there is obviously still some work to do to achieve a winning record, but I think the performance on Monday night against the Dolphins proved that when the chips are down, we don’t quit; we continue to fight until the end.

Let’s take a look at how we performed on offense.
