For the first time this year, the Steelers recorded consecutive wins after defeating the Miami Dolphins. For the next few weeks, the Steelers will have big tests that can make or break their fragile 2019 season.

Don’t look now, but the Steelers are one win away from being a .500 ball club–their best win percentage this year.

They almost let things get out of control last week with a stressful win against the Dolphins. The Steelers offense overcame a rocky start and struck with big plays to finish the game.

Mason Rudolph felt the boo-birds in Heinz Field until a completion on 3rd and 11 deep in their own territory got things rolling. The Steelers scored 27 unanswered points the rest of the way.

This week the Steelers cannot afford a slow start. The Colts come in after a close victory over the Broncos courtesy of a big drive by Jacoby Brissett.

Though the Colts don’t do anything fancy on either side of the ball, offensively they run effectively with a very good offensive line. Defensively they create pressure and play simple defense–but it held the Chiefs to only 13 points.

The Colts on paper, statistically, look like a simple, decent team. However, they are a dangerous team built to contend.

The Steelers will have to continue to improve across the board despite injuries piling up all around. The game of football is a game of matchups, and the Steelers will have to win these three matchups on Sunday…
