Steelers stock rising/falling following narrow victory over Colts

Trey Edmunds – stock: up

Yes, Trey, not Terrell, saw his stock rise after the Colts game. Trey was a practice squad player not long ago but, due to injuries to James Conner and Benny Snell, he was called up to the Steelers’ active roster to be the number two back.

He broke out early with a huge 45-yard run but ran out of juice before he could take it all the way. He finished the game with 73 yards on 12 rushes averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

I will follow that by adding he did have the big 45-yarder, which fluffed his numbers. Minus the big run, he had 11 carries for just 28 yards.

His stock is trending up for not only the big run and being a solid player for the Steelers today, but for a big special teams play. After the Steelers suffered a safety and had to punt away, Edmunds hit the returner first and jarred the ball some before Ola Adeniyi forced the rest of the fumble.

The Steelers recovered and got a field goal to help negate the safety some. Edmunds was a big part of the win making some plays and providing depth for the Steelers in a time where injuries made him dressing necessary.
