The Steelers won another game Sunday afternoon and are stacking wins. Could this lead to a playoff berth?

To say that the Steelers won an ‘ugly’ game would be a fair statement, but no matter how we win a game, a win is a win.  The Steelers escaped with a two-point victory on Sunday, beating the Colts by the score of 24-26.  After a 1-4 start, we have now won three games in a row.  The Steelers are stacking wins.  Could this mean a playoff berth?  We will explore that possibility as we navigate our way through this discussion.

I don’t know about you, but as I was watching the game with my 21-year-old son, I kept saying to him that we look disjointed, that we lack rhythm on offense and that we are seemingly not playing with the same level of intensity on defense that we displayed against the Dolphins.

Despite my assessment of our performance, the Steelers found a way to win the game.  The win was not only another home win, which is always nice for the fans to witness (as an aside, my friend went to the game.  It was his first at Heinz field.  I think he brought us luck), but it was a conference win.

As we know, conference wins are monumentally important for playoff seeding, especially when it comes to tie-breaking procedures; however, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.  The Steelers are currently a .500 football team, with a tough opponent lying in wait in the form of the Los Angles Rams.

Let’s take a look at how the Steelers performed on offense.
