Ryan Switzer: stock – down

Switzer has been a non-factor all season long and it is frustrating that he continues to get opportunities on a punt return. He has not made any big plays that call for letting him stay there.

Switzer’s biggest play in the game today was fielding a punt at the five-yard line and failing to gain ground. The punt could have very well bounced into the endzone for a touchback but, instead, the Steelers suffered a safety on the very next play.

Switzer does not have a role in the offense and his value in the return game is absolute zero. The roster spot he holds could have gone to Diontae Spencer or another player that could make more impact than he has this season.

I am not one to ask for anyone to lose their job but at some point, the Steelers need to make a change. They are hurting themselves leaving someone who has shown nothing to keep getting opportunities.

Minkah Fitzpatrick: stock – up

Fitzpatrick continues to show his worth each week for Pittsburgh. He has been around the football every game, making big plays in the process.

He made another stamp on a game this year, scooping up the Hargrave forced fumble and adding a touchdown for the Steelers before the half. He played through when most thought it was an incomplete pass and took advantage of it.

Fitzpatrick also had some big tackles and pass breakups to keep the Steelers defense rolling. He has been a savior for the defense and that is not debatable.

Steelers players will tell you he makes a huge difference. His presence over the top gives them more confidence in coverage and that is only going to make a defense better.
