Chris Boswell: stock – up

The Steelers gave Boswell a contract extension before the 2018 season and he did not reward them whatsoever. He was one of the worst kickers in the league last year.

In 2019, Boswell has been virtually automatic, missing just one long kick on the year. He has also made every extra point, a huge turn around from 2018.

Boswell ended up on injured reserve at the end of the season just after the Saints game. This led many to wonder if he was hurt much of the season.

This start to 2019 has many believing that was the case. Seeing him bounce back to his former self this season after the awful 2018 is enough for me to believe that as well.

The Steelers have now won four straight games and are in the thick of a wildcard hunt after their horrid 0-3 start. The defense is playing lights out, and Mason gets more comfortable each week. If the offense can somehow find a groove, this team could sneak into the playoffs, which, in itself, would be a miracle and job well done after everything the team has endured from the end of 2018 through this season.
