Will Tomlin be able to outsmart Sean McVay?

The offense was undisciplined at the beginning of the game with a bad snap that was recovered for a defensive touchdown. It looked like the Steelers were not ready to play on offense but that changed quickly. The Steelers were able to put up enough points on offense to win the game.

What I was particularly impressed with was the defense in this game. Tomlin had his defense ready and they were the winner especially on a key drive. Tomlin is a defensive guy and he is taking a larger role in the playcalling. I like what he is doing on the defensive side of the ball.

Overall, Tomlin won against Sean McVay and that was with some injuries. I thought it was a gritty win and showed the character of Tomlin. This might be the best coaching we’ve seen from Mike Tomlin. I really like the adjustments he’s made since the injury to Ben Roethlisberger.

Will Minkah Fitzpatrick have another interception this week?

Fitzpatrick did have a fumble recovery for a touchdown. I appreciate the presence of mind to pick it up and take it into the end zone. It could have been called an incomplete pass.

The defense carried this team to a win. They were getting pressure and they were playing good coverage. They made the stops when they had to.

Minkah Fitzpatrick did indeed get an interception and it was the interception that iced the game. That is now the third game in a row that he has had an interception. He is really becoming a Pro Bowl-caliber safety and very much a first-round pick. The Steelers are also winning so it’s going to be a lower-first round pick than initially anticipated.
