The Steelers lost against the Browns, and their playoff hopes took a major hit in the process

If the Steelers had any hope of making the playoffs this season, those hopes suffered a major blow with the loss against the Browns. Not only did our playoff hopes take a hit, but the more critical issue is the fact that the Steelers four-game winning streak ended.

Truth be told, it took me a few days to decompress after the brutal performance against the Browns.  While I was watching the game unfold, I could just tell from the manner in which the Steelers started the game that it was going to be tough sledding.

The offense did not play fluidly at all; the defense looked lethargic.  The result was a 7-21 loss to the Browns.  The loss notwithstanding, the Steelers now have 3 conference losses, which may spell doom later in the season as we vie for a playoff spot.  The damage was also a division loss. We can’t overlook that.

Honestly, considering the way we played against the Browns, we would be lucky at this point to finish the season with a winning record.  I realize that statement may be somewhat apocalyptic, but if you watched the same game I watched, I think you would have come to the same or to a similar conclusion.

I know the season is not over as the Steelers still have six more games to play, but if we do not figure out how to win games on offense, six games may as well be sixty games.

Let’s take a look at how the offense fared against the Browns.
