Mason Rudolph vs. Himself

I miss Ben right now. I think we all do. Don’t take greatness for granted.

Now let’s just get to reality: Mason is our guy right now.

My fellow contributor James Kelly and I are big fans of the Duck Man. I love the hype, and he loves the overall picture.

Regardless of how we and the fans feel, Tomlin made it clear Rudolph is the guy right now. So what must Mason do to get on track/rhythm?

I felt like last week was a much-needed experience. It was a “crap happens” game. He played a bad game. It happens. Now it’s time to quit playing scared ball. It’s time for the entire offense to quit playing scared ball.

Ben doesn’t live in his fears, and neither did Duck. Whether the knock out caused by Earl Thomas caused this digression or not–it doesn’t matter.

The offense had no choice but to open up, and we saw Mason get terrorized all night. He eventually had to make choices and get rid of the ball, be it good decisions or bad.

Now is the time for Mason to realize it was a bad game, but it’s time to quit living in your fears.

Now is the time for Randy Fichtner to realize it was a bad game, but it’s time to quit living in your fears.

Cut it loose, let it rip, and let it fly.

If Mason can’t take this learning experience and play with more confidence, then he won’t be the future as many have spoken about him being.

It is time.
