4. Devin Bush
Sure, Devin Bush makes mistakes from time to time, but what 21-year-old starter doesn’t. Bush has been as good as any rookie first-round pick has been for this team in recent memory.
Just a year ago, linebacker was the weakest position on this football team, as players like Vince Williams and Jon Bostic provided little athleticism and play-making ability to the position. Now, this squad has done a complete 180 thanks to Devin Bush.
Remarkably, the rookie first-round draft choice already caused 7 turnovers before the month of December, and he is a Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate. In just 12 games, Bush has recorded 79 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 1.0 sack, 1 forced fumble, 4 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions, and a defensive touchdown.
This kid is going to be special. I am thankful that Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin decided to make the move for him on draft day.
