The Steelers beat the Browns on the strength of a top-five defense and, in the process, keep marching toward a potential playoff berth.

I have said this before and I will say it again:  What a game!  The Steelers spotted the Browns 10 points and rallied to win the game.  The final score was 13-20.  After giving up 10 points rather early in the contest, the defense stiffened and shut out the Browns the rest of the way.

In doing so, the defense has not only catapulted to the top 5 of NFL defenses but is keeping the Steelers in the playoff hunt. Let’s get this out-of-the-way first: It was neither a pretty nor a perfect game, but we did enough on both sides of the ball to secure victory and to reestablish a winning streak.

Honestly, I was concerned after the Steelers were down 10-0 early in the second quarter.  All I was thinking about was this:  OK, if we lose this game, who else in the AFC has to lose for us to not lose any ground in the playoff race.

Fortunately, those thoughts were just that, thoughts.  We will review the game shortly, but I think it’s fair to say that the Steelers, right now, are living on the edge, so to speak, in terms of the seeming inability of both the offense and the defense to get out the gate quickly.  As we know, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish; the Steelers finished strong and that’s all that matters.

Let’s take a look at how we did on the offensive side of the ball.
