Advancing to the Arizona Cardinals (3-8-1), numbers show that the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) are in a favorable position to continue their winning streak.

As history repeats itself, the NFL’s modernization is revolutionary and offensive. Quite literally, and metaphorically, the acceptance of quickness over brute or dynamic instead of primitive has set future skillsets on a scale we can hardly imagine & is still a stumbling block for some to adhere to. When the Steelers find themselves lined up across the Arizona Cardinals, they’ll be facing an early example of the change that’s taking place in the league, from QB to head coach.

Both rookies in their respected positions, the combination of Kliff Kingsbury & Kyler Murray was a match made in heaven for enthusiasts of this movement. Though their debut team record spells 3-8-1, what they have accomplished offensively so far are reasons to believe this could develop into something special.

In 2019, they rank 20th in PPG (21.2), 23rd in YPG (331.8), 22nd in PassYPG (217.7), & 14th in RushYPG (114.1). From face value, this doesn’t express much to have faith in, but considering they were dead last in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, rushing yards/attempt, and scoring percentage in 2018, the jump is incredible with both leaders being in their first year.

Thankfully for the Steelers, the translation to record success hasn’t been imminent for Arizona, given the fact the Cardinals are currently riding a five-game losing streak. The hype was well-earned and has lived on rightfully so for what can be, but deficient in many other categories has made time their best friend.

As the Steelers aim to progress in their playoff push, numbers suggest a continued aggressiveness by QB Devlin Hodges & the dominating pass rush should lead the way for Pittsburgh’s eighth victory.
