Offensive Line vs. Bills Front 7

Earlier I mentioned the recent success of the ground game. While the running backs have all stepped up in James Conner’s absence, I have to give big credit to the offensive line.

Their improvement and execution have been phenomenal. Their burst and manhandling in the trenches has created big opportunities for the Steelers run game.

This week, the Bills come in with the 3rd ranked total defense in the NFL. They too have been a noticeable stronger unit after their 2018 campaign.

Not only are the Bills allowing less than 17 points a game, but they have also recorded 38 sacks, interceptions, 12 fumbles, and have given some of the most talented offenses headaches; such as the Cowboys, Ravens, and even the Patriots.

This unit will be looking to take control of the game–it starts at the line of scrimmage. This is a battle the Steelers offensive line can win.

The Steelers offensive line will have to continue the momentum of a strong run game and continue to give Duck adequate pass protection. This will be the toughest unit to battle since their game in Cleveland 4 weeks earlier.
