Ricky Seals-Jones

Ricky Seals-Jones will be a restricted free agent this offseason. While this may make fans weary, signing him will likely result in giving a rival team compensation, it is worth it to look into the soon to be 25 year old.

Seals-Jones finished this past season with only fourteen receptions for 229 yards. Do not let these numbers fool you, four of his fourteen receptions resulted in touchdowns. The 6’5″ tight end became a dangerous red-zone weapon for Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense. Taking him away from the Browns would be a major boost for the Steelers on both sides of the ball.

The Browns offense has many standout skill players so Seals-Jones was not an integral part of their offense. Similar to Blake Jarwin, Seals-Jones never really had an opportunity to flourish. If given the chance to become a true part of the offense, the results could be outstanding.

Investing in any of these options would be a wise decision for the Steelers. They are all talented young players that would come in and add a dimension to the offense that was greatly missing this past season.
