XFL players the Pittsburgh Steelers should keep on their watch-list
P.J. Walker
P.J Walker has been one of the most electrifying players in the XFL through two weeks. Whether it is making plays down the field in Houston’s vertical passing attack, or making plays with his feet: The Houston Roughnecks quarterback always seems to find a way to get the job done.
The former Temple star has led the Roughnecks to a 2-0 record, has completed 62% of his passing attempts, has averaged 221 passing yards per game, and has a touchdown to interception ratio of 7:1. With the significant statistic being the touchdown to interception ratio, he makes an effort to put it where only his receiver can catch the ball.
If P.J. Walker continues to pick apart opposing XFL defenses, it will be a matter of time before he receives a number of calls from NFL teams regarding a potential back up job. I anticipate that the twenty-four-year-old will continue to make a case as the XFL’s MVP, which is why the Pittsburgh Steelers need to make an offer when the quarterback is made available. After the Steelers showed the lack of depth at quarterback in 2019, Walker would be a major compliment in Pittsburgh’s quarterback room.
