The Steelers don’t have a first-round pick and so they will need to make a splash with the second-round pick at 49. Here are some good options.

The Steelers draft is important again this year and it is important every year. The draft is the lifeblood of your team as you can’t sign all your players in free agency with the salary cap. Also, with football being a sport that is hard on the body, teams always need young talent.

The Steelers have some good options for the 49th pick in the draft. Here are five of those players that they could take with that fifth pick.

#1 Neville Gallimore, NT, Oklahoma

This is a player I like and somebody that I interviewed at the Senior Bowl. His attitude and personality remind me of a lot of Isaiah Buggs who I also interviewed at the Senior Bowl the previous year. I 2018, Gallimore proved that he could stop the run. In 2019, Gallimore showed more as a pass rusher and I think as we stand right now that is his strength.

Gallimore has the size, 321 pounds, to be a nose tackle in the NFL. He is projected to go in the first or second round. If he falls to the Steelers, I would take him. He could be the replacement to Javon Hargrave although I think of them as different players coming out of college.
