Pittsburgh Steelers Post-Combine 7-round NFL mock draft

Round 4 (from Miami): Solomon Kindley
Interior offensive line, Georgia
The Steelers acquired Miami’s fourth-round pick in the Minkah Fitzpatrick deal. With this pick, I have them beefing up the offensive line with Georgia’s Solomon Kindley. Listed at 6’3” and 337 pounds, Kindley isn’t the most athletic interior offensive lineman in the draft class. But what he lacks in quick feet, he makes up for with power and a bruising play style.
Pittsburgh had the oldest starting offensive line in the league in 2019, and that group just got another year older heading into this season. Ramon Foster is 34 years old, and the Steelers could save $4 million by cutting him this offseason. Though that’s not likely to happen without a plan in place, adding depth would give them security at the position.
Kindley projects best as a left guard in Pittsburgh due to his enormous size and limited functional mobility. He was a part of one of the nation’s most talented offensive line groups that helped protect Jake Fromm and pave the way for D’Andre Swift.
Kindley wouldn’t be forced to start right away but could be ready to compete for a starting role on the offensive line in 2021.
