Danny Shelton

Danny Shelton is another massive human being the Steeles could potentially plug into their defensive front in place of Hargrave. Unlike Phillips, Shelton is a former first-round draft choice back in 2015 and was taken with the 12th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

Shelton never lived up to lofty expectations, and he’s a player that would have been much better in the ’90s than today’s NFL. Still, at 6’2” and 342 pounds, Shelton is a mammoth in the middle a defense and has always churned out a solid overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

Shelton lacks statistical production throughout his career and he has never had more than 3.0 sacks or 5 tackles for a loss in his first five seasons – which is precisely why he’s projected to make just $4.7 million per year on the open market.
