4th round (pick 114): Michael Pittman

Wide receiver, USC

USC wide receiver, Michael Pittman, has been mocked as high as the second round before. However, in such a deep wide receiver class, he could be a player who sees his name slide in April.

Pittman was extremely productive during his senior season. He earned 101 catches for 1,275 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has an innate ability to go up and get the ball, and is a consistent option who projects best as an X-receiver in the NFL.

However, even with his success at USC, there will be teams who view Pittman as just a rotational receiver in the NFL. Because of this, Pittman could go somewhere on day three of the draft instead of day two.

The Steelers have horrific depth outside of their top three wideouts. Pittman could come right in and be their fourth wide receiver from day one and a gunner on special teams. He even has some experience as a kick and punt returner in college.

Eventually, he may be able to carve out a larger role in Pittsburgh. Pittman would be a great pick at this point in the draft. He’s projects as a solid rotational piece with starter upside.
