The Steelers will be ‘behind the eight ball’ in the 2020 draft, but can still make something happen

Truth be told, no one knows what the Steelers plans are heading into the 2020 NFL draft.  When I say that we will be ‘behind the eight ball, the lack of a first-round pick certainly hurts, but it’s not like the Steelers haven’t been able to find ‘gems’ after the first round.

The Steelers, like every other team, has both ‘needs’ and ‘wants’, meaning that there are players we may want to draft, but can not because of where we are picking and there are players we need to draft to fill a hole that currently exists.

Next. Stefan Wisniewski was the better option for the Steelers than B.J. Finney. dark

However the 2020 draft ‘plays out’, there will be at least six new additions to the Steelers, assuming we ‘stand pat’ with the draft picks we currently possess.  I hope that we make every pick count, that we make every pick with the idea that the player we draft will be a positive contributor and that we make every pick with the notion that the players will be Steelers for a long time to come.
