4th round (from MIA): Tyler Johnson

Wide receiver, Minnesota

This is a player I have mocked to the Steelers more than once. Pittsburgh covets highly productive receivers on day three of the draft, and no one entering this year’s draft has been more productive over the past two seasons than Tyler Johnson.

Throughout his career at Minessota, Johnson earned 213 receptions for 3,305 yards (15.5 yards per reception) and 33 touchdowns. At 6’1” and 206, he has a similar profile as Hines Ward (6’0”, 205) and Johnson excels at catching the ball in traffic.

Though there are questions about his athleticism, his toughness, work ethic, and production will be hard for Pittsburgh to overlook. Barring a free agent signing, Johnson would slide right in as the 4th receiver for the Steelers.
