Ben Bartch

Offensive tackle, St. John’s

The Steelers have had as much success developing offensive tackles as any team in the league. Though offensive line coach Mike Munchak is no longer with the team, Ben Batch is a player who could catch their eye.

Alejandro Villanueva was a former wide receiver in college who served in the military before becoming a Pro Bowl offensive tackle for the Steelers. Bartch is hardly a big of a project.

Though he was a former tight end who gained 75 pounds to play left tackle for St. John’s, he already possesses good size and excellent footwork. After the 2020 season, Chukwuma Okorafor will be the only offensive tackle under contract for the Steelers.

Bartch may be a small school guy, but the 6’6”, 309-pound tackle has loads of upside. Bartch could potentially be a starting left tackle at the NFL level. At worst, he could be a solid swing tackle.
