Linebacker: 3rd-4th round

The Steelers are razor-thin at the linebacker position after cutting Mark Barron and losing Tyler Matakevich to free agency this offseason. While they aren’t guaranteed to address the position in the draft after doubling up with Devin Bush and Ulysees Gilbert last year, it’s still something that could be not their radar.

Isaiah Simmons, Kenneth Murray, and Patrick Queen will be long gone before pick 49 rolls around. Because of this, the Steelers are best off waiting until the third or fourth round to grab a linebacker.

While Malik Harrison and Akeem Davis-Gaither could be gone by this point, there should be plenty of quality options to choose from. Players like Jordyn Brooks, Willie Gay Jr., and Logan Wilson would all be ideal fits next to Devin Bush in the long run.

Top Choices:

  1. Jordyn Brooks, Round 4
  2. Willie Gay Jr., Round 4
  3. Logan Wilson, Round 3
