Tight end: 6th-7th round
After landing Eric Ebron in free agency this offseason, I very much expect the Steelers to pass on selecting a tight end altogether in the 2020 NFL Draft (which is probably a wise choice considering that it is one of the worst tight end classes in recent years).
Because there are no tight ends worth a first (or arguably even second) round pick, this group of players will end up being drafted too high. Because of this, the Steelers are best off waiting until the end of the draft to see if there is any value here.
Pittsburgh spent a 5th round pick on Zach Gentry last year, but there is an outside chance they could look to add competition for the 3rd tight end spot. If they do, here are some late-round players who could potentially beat him out:
- Colby Parkinson, 6th
- Cheyenne O’Grady, 7th
- Thaddeus Moss, 7th
