CB A.J. Terrell

The Steelers sent the house to Clemson’s Pro Day just before the travel bans, but it may not have been for Tee Higgins, like many fans were assuming. Though they are currently pretty strong at the position, cornerback is clearly something that is on their radar – as evidenced by using the most Combine visits on the position.

A.J. Terrell is a big-school, underclassmen with great speed and athleticism. The Steelers have played more man coverage as of late, and NFL teams know they can never have enough good cornerbacks on their roster. Terrell would give them an insurance policy in case of an injury to Haden or Nelson and could play right away in dime situations.

From what I’ve heard, however, we can expect a run on cornerbacks that could start well before the Steelers pick – making names like A.J. Terrell, Jaylon Johnson, and Trevon Diggs unavailable to them in the second round.

It’s impossible to say for sure which direction Pittsburgh will look in the draft, but these are four guys I’m pretty confident they have interest in. The sad thing is none of them could be available to the Steelers in the second round of the draft.
