Round 7, 232nd overall

Khaleke Hudson, S/LB, Michigan

The Steelers have shown a lot of interest in the hybrid S/LB role during this pre-draft process, and Khaleke Hudson has shown talent at that position at Michigan. A tweener with no defined position, he has great athleticism for what his role would be. He can’t cover well enough to play DB full time and he is a little undersized to be a full-time LB in the NFL.

This is where the most problems come from Hudson, as his lack of a true position limits his upside. He would likely shoot to be a dime backer while playing more LB as a backup. That way, his instincts wouldn’t be as exposed, and he can use his athleticism. As well, he should come in and be an instant special teams ace. Never a full-time option, Hudson has the potential to be a decent backup and sub-package player.
