OT Joshua Jones, Houston

My overall rank: 20th

This one blows my mind that he is still on the board. Offensive tackle is perhaps the second-most coveted position in the NFL and Joshua Jones firmly sat as the 5th best tackle on my draft board prior to round one.

Jones has all the traits desired to be a long-time starting left tackle in the NFL, and he was arguably the most impressive player at Senior Bowl practices this year. Jones is a shadow in pass protection that pass rushers can hardly get around. I was baffled to see that players like Austin Jackson (87th overall) and Isaiah Wilson (51st overall) were drafted ahead of him.

Though Joshua Jones may not last long into day two, he would be the perfect pick for the Steelers if he continued to slide in the draft. Left tackle is one of the hardest positions to find in the NFL, and on a normal year, he would be a lock to go in the top 20 picks.

Thanks to one of the best offensive tackle classes I’ve ever graded, players like Josh Jones and Ezra Cleveland still sit on the board entering day two. Pittsburgh should take advantage.
