Edge defenders: 5

T.J. Watt

Bud Dupree

Alex Highsmith

Ola Adeniyi

Tuzar Skipper

We pretty much know who the top four players are here, it’s just a matter of whether or not the Steelers are going to want to keep a fifth edge defender – something they didn’t do in 2019.

T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree are locked into starting roles on Pittsburgh’s defense. When opportunities for snaps do arrive, they will likely go to Ola Adeniyi with Alex Highsmith fighting for playing time as a rookie.

Tuzar Skipper had a great preseason with the Steelers last year, but was let go and spent some time with the New York Giants before rejoining the team. If Pittsburgh only keeps four edge defenders, he will likely be the one to go – barring a phenomenal training camp.
