Steelers schedule 2020: Weeks 3-5

Week 3 vs. Houston Texans: Win (3-0)

The Steelers lose at least one game to an inferior team like Houston every year, so it’s possible that this will be that game. However, it’s hard to know exactly who they will let their guard down against. If Pittsburgh is playing at their best, they have the ability to blow out the Texans. I have the Steelers securing this win at home.

Week 4 @ Tennessee Titans: Loss (3-1)

The Titans surprised people last season with their terrific run that began in the second half of the season and ended after upsetting both the Patriots and the Ravens in the playoffs. They are going to be difficult again to face in 2020, and their power run game could give the Steelers some fits. Tennesse also has a stingy defense. I think Pittsburgh loses a close contest on the road.

Week 5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Loss (3-2)

The Steelers haven’t had a lot of luck playing the Eagles in years past, and I think that trend continues in 2020. Doug Pederson is one of the better coaches in the league, and the Eagles have a talented roster all around. Though it will be interesting to watch Javon Hargrave square off against his old teammates, I think Philidelphia gets the best of Pittsburgh in this contest.

Steelers schedule 2020: Weeks 6-9

Week 6 vs. Cleveland Browns: Win (4-2)

There’s no denying that the Browns have a thoroughly impressive roster on paper, but that hasn’t exactly translated to success. Now, Baker Mayfield gets a huge boost on the offensive line after the Browns added Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills this offseason. It should be enough to make them a better team in 2020, but I think with a healthy Ben, the Steelers still take this one at home.

Week 7 @ Baltimore Ravens: Loss (4-3)

Playing the Ravens at home will be challenging enough, but playing them in Baltimore is going to be an incredibly difficult task. The Ravens have an incredible coaching staff, and their offseason acquisitions far outweigh the moves the Steelers made in 2020. I have them falling to what is projected to be one of the league’s best teams this year.

(Week 8: Bye)

Week 9 @ Dallas Cowboys: Loss (4-4)

The Cowboys are one of the most difficult opponents the Steelers will be forced to play in 2020. They are loaded with talent and their offense could be even better in 2020 with the addition of CeeDee Lamb. If Roethlisberger is healthy, Pittsburgh should have enough firepower to stay in the game, but they can’t expect their defense to hold Dallas’ offense in check in this contest. I have the Cowboys taking this game on their home turf.
