TE (3)

Vance McDonald, Eric Ebron, Zach Gentry

This group seems set, and it isn’t likely that any of the current options on the roster carve out a spot over one of the three listed above. Vance McDonald and Eric Ebron are going to split the starting duties. Both have some questions with health, but ideally, they will play off each other well enough for the position to succeed. Zach Gentry rounds off the list due to his experience from last year.

A possibility is the Steelers grabbing a veteran during roster cuts if they believe they can be a solid blocker. While the two starters have upside as pass-catching options, they have some struggles as blockers. Adding a blocking TE to the mix could give more versatility for the team. As for Gentry, he would likely be moved to the practice squad. A move like this is impossible to predict though, so the nod goes to Gentry.
