JuJu Smith-Schuster: 3rd round (pick 73)

After eight wide receivers are selected before him, JuJu Smith-Schuster winds up going to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 73rd overall pick in the NFL re-draft. While some would argue that he would be drafted higher, I would make the opposite case.

JuJu is still just 23 years old but is coming off a down season that was plagued by injuries in 2019. With receivers like Amari Cooper, Stephon Diggs, CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, and Chris Godwin still on the board, I think JuJu was actually a bit over-drafted here.

JuJu does a majority of his damage from the slot, which is something that is easier to replace than an ‘X’ receiver on the outside of the formation. He needs to have at least one season where he proves that he can be a true number one receiver before I would take him with a selection this high in a total NFL re-draft.
