Ben Roethlisberger: 3rd round (pick 91)

At this stage in his career, it’s not surprising to see 90 players being drafted ahead of Ben Roethlisberger in a total NFL-redraft. At 38 years old and with a pretty extensive injury history, you may just be able to get a few more years of good play out of him.

However, making it to the third round could be a steal for a team hoping to compete for a Super Bowl after the re-draft. When quarterbacks like Jarrett Stidham and Daniel Jones are being drafted ahead of him, Roethlisberger at pick 91 all of a sudden looks like a steal – even in his old age.

In comparison, Teddy Bridgewater was taken with the 18th overall pick. Big Ben may only prove to be a fraction of his former self, but it’s a chance worth taking at this stage in the draft.

It’s a bit surprising to see All-Pro players like Cameron Heyward and David DeCastro fall short of this list, and I think T.J. Watt was drafted too low. However, the whole idea of an NFL re-draft is just amusing to process. Perhaps the Steelers will have more representatives when ESPN attempts this again next offseason.
